Job summary

Geeks On Site is hiring on-call IT Field Technicians to provide on-site PC, Mac, POS, and TV mounting support across multiple U.S. cities. You’ll troubleshoot, configure printers and networks, install POS and cabling, and perform outdoor TV mounting as needed.

The role is a 1099 independent contractor with flexible scheduling. You select jobs based on availability and proximity; pay is $35 per hour on-site, with mounting tasks also offered at higher rates.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of IT support or field service experience.
• Own required tools and valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues.
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
• Install and configure printers and scanners.
• Replace or upgrade hardware components.
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
