Job summary

University of Texas at Austin seeks a Multi-Craft Refrigeration Technician for UT MAIN CAMPUS facilities. The role focuses on journey level and master multi-crafted trades in maintenance, repair, installation, and operation for residence halls, apartments, and dining facilities.

The position requires extensive refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related skills. A Texas Master or Journey level HVAC license is preferred; a monthly stipend is provided for licensed professionals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years in construction, mechanical, or utilities trades with at least 3 years journey level experience.
• Experience with tools and equipment common to the trades.

Responsibilities

• Perform refrigeration repair as primary duty with knowledge of kitchen equipment and HVAC systems.
• Analyze work orders, troubleshoot, prioritize, and coordinate repairs with other trades.
• Maintain documentation, update work orders, and manage parts and inventory.
