Job summary

ABM Industries seeks a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform cleaning and disinfection in clinical and non-clinical spaces across assigned facilities. This on-call role covers shifts as needed to ensure clean, safe environments for patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, healthcare or commercial cleaning experience, and the ability to respond quickly to on-call requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and cleaning procedures in healthcare.
• Ability to work independently and respond to on-call requests on short notice.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and hygiene.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, exam rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and other spaces.
• Respond to emergency cleaning requests, including biohazard spills and terminal cleaning.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and proper PPE usage.
• Safely handle and dispose of medical and general waste.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, towels, and sanitizers.
• Document tasks completed and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to meet cleaning needs efficiently.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation of the workplace, contributing to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors.

Pay: $25.36 an hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

NOTE: This position is On-Call, meaning there is no predetermined schedule or guaranteed hours. Shifts are offered as needed to cover call offs and vacations, and based on business needs
