Job summary

Brookhaven Hospice is seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team, providing compassionate hospice care to patients and families. The schedule runs Saturday 8am through Monday 8am, covering listed territories.

The organization emphasizes dignity, peace, and human connection in end-of-life care and offers comprehensive benefits and onboarding. Qualified candidates hold an RN license, a BSN is preferred, and a minimum of one year in medical-surgical/acute care is expected.

Qualifications

RN license in good standing.
Minimum 1 year RN experience in medical-surgical/acute care setting.
Hospice experience preferred.
CPR certification if required by state.
Proficient in computer use and EMR.

Responsibilities

Be the Lifeline: Respond to a variety of patient needs, from urgent to routine, your unwavering support will make a difference in critical moments.
Provide Empathetic and Heartfelt Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
Maintain Accurate Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation in home health care and regulatory standards.
Provide Support for Families: Guide and support families caring for terminally ill loved ones.
