The Opportunity

Tetra Tech is looking for an on-call, part-time Environmental Technician in Jacksonville, Florida. This is not a remote position, you must live in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Position Summary

We are seeking an on-call, environmental technician to provide environmental air sampling support in the Jacksonville, Florida area. The position involves the collection of particulate samples from sites located around the city of Jacksonville. The daily routine involves sample collection, sample documentation, and transportation to a designated laboratory. The candidate will be trained in standard operating procedures and air sample equipment mechanical maintenance.

Sample collection is completed daily, 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays. The collection of samples occurs during an early morning 4-hour shift from 4:30am - 8:30am, during which the candidate will be on-call 365 days/year except when your requested days off are approved. You are compensated for 2 hours while on-call, and when called into the field the candidate will be compensated for the number of hours worked. Additional monthly group meetings and trainings are scheduled with advanced notice (may take place remotely or in person) during normal business hours.

This position allows the potential to support other projects and/or tasks that may arise in relation to other contracts outside of the listed above work.
