WSP USA is seeking On Call Emergency Management Specialists, Procurement, with deployments from any U.S. office. Cadre members commit to 30 days, deploy within 24–48 hours, and may work long hours during deployments.

You will support disaster prep, response, and recovery nationwide and handle logistics, procurement, and documentation. Travel is required; strong knowledge of ERP systems, SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Office is essential. FEMA certification and MS Excel skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Prior procurement/administrative experience in emergency management and knowledge of ERP systems.

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for On Call Emergency Management Specialists, Procurement with the potential to work out of any WSP USA office. Emergency management cadre positions are on-call and assignments are on an as-needed basis. Cadre members are not eligible for benefits. Cadre members are typically asked for a 30‑day commitment; they must have availability to deploy with little to no advance notice (typically within 24‑48 hours); during deployments there is the potential of working 8‑12 hours/day, 7 days/week.

Your Impact
  • Support Emergency Management team in servicing clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide and in U.S. territories.
  • Deploy to Emergency Operations Center and/or Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post‑disaster.
  • Perform a variety of duties including logistics, supply, cost/documentation and/or resource unit functions.
  • Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain deployment eligibility.
  • Support Emergency Management Project Management functions.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma.
  • 7+ years experience, including 3+ years in an Emergency Management role (Response, Recovery or related), or equivalent.
  • Prior project procurement/administrative experience in Emergency Management, and broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques. Strong knowledge of ERP Systems/Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, SAP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook (Email), Word, and Excel.
  • FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study – Professional Development Series certification.
  • Travel required – must be able to deploy to disaster area with little or no advance notice and potentially for long durations up to a minimum of 30 days.
  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Business field strongly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Postal, Various State Subcontracting, FAR, DFAR, FTA and DOT regulations.
  • Prevailing Wage expertise such as Service Contract Act and Davis Bacon Wages.
  • Works well under pressure and able to handle change in priorities.
  • Asset Management and Supply Logistical Operational Experience.
  • Previous experience working at Field Staging Areas or state Emergency Operations Center or related environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting tools.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $30‑$35/hour
