Dedicated School Staffing is seeking a dependable Substitute Educational Aide at Bay Village City Schools in Bay Village, OH. The role supports teachers, helps with instructional activities, and ensures a safe, inclusive learning environment while regular staff are absent.

The position is on-call/part-time; duties include one-on-one or small-group support, adherence to lesson plans, and effective communication with staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid educational aide permit or higher teaching license (as required by state regulations)
• Clean criminal background checks
• Ability to work with children in a patient, supportive, and professional manner
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to different classrooms and student needs
• Physical ability to assist students as needed (e.g., mobility support, classroom tasks)

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers by assisting with instruction, activities, and supervision
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students, including those with special needs
• Implement accommodations and modifications as directed by the teacher or intervention specialist
• Assist students with daily tasks such as organization, transitions, and engagement in lessons
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, or during arrival/dismissal
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment
• Follow established lesson plans, behavior plans, and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and administrators
• Document student observations or incidents as required
