Job summary

Kidango is seeking an Early Learning Substitute Aide to join our on‑call, part‑time team in the San Jose area. The role supports daily programming, classroom readiness, and safe, nurturing environments for children.

As an on‑call substitute, you will work with a Center Director and teaching staff, maintain confidentiality, and assist in meeting the needs of families and children while contributing to our mission to provide quality early learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have unexpired Associate Teacher Permit
• Experience with young children preferred
• Immunization records per Senate Bill 792
• Reliable form of transportation required
• Willingness to travel to different cities/centers
• Flexibility with on‑call assignments

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing the daily program
• Assist in planning environment and materials
• Maintain a clean, safe environment
• Conduct regular parent communication as directed
• Work with supervising teachers and center director
• Support health, safety, and well‑being of children
• Assist volunteers as requested
• Attend meetings as requested
• Engage in activities for professional growth
• Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and staff
• Promote organization mission and philosophy
• Greet children, parents, staff, and guests
• Assist other centers when requested
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
