Job summary

Valley Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Castro Valley, CA is hiring a Dietary Aide on an on-call basis. Pay ranges from $18.26 to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience, with benefits and on-call scheduling.

Qualifications

• Previous food service, kitchen, or dietary experience preferred but not required.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certificate preferred.
• Dietary certification is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment following meal service.
• Assist with checking meal trays for accuracy, including menu selections, dietary requirements, and resident preferences.
• Help ensure meals are prepared and delivered according to established procedures.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention guidelines.
• Demonstrate compassion, patience, and respect when supporting resident meal services.
