Qualifications

• Associate's or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
• ARRT Certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures accurately and efficiently according to standards and protocols.
• Initiates proper intervention when an exam requires immediate attention.
• Reviews indications for exams and reports inappropriate indications to supervisor.
• Provides exam data for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS, RIS, and HIS/EMR systems; performs general clerical duties.
• Archives image data and sends images to radiologist group.
• Retrieves stored images from PACS or back-up discs; creates CDs.
• Maintains policies, safety and infection control; supports quality improvement.
