Job summary

DHL Express is hiring an on-call Courier to pick up and deliver time-sensitive documents and packages. The role follows standard company procedures and safety requirements, driving to customer sites and walking stairs as needed.

Responsibilities include operating a scanner, meeting time constraints, and ensuring proper delivery to the correct consignee, while maintaining safety and professional conduct on the job.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets Driving Privileges standards.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Map reading skills and knowledge of delivery area preferred.
• Previous professional driving experience, preferably in a delivery role.
• Candidate must pass pre-employment background, drug and medical physical screening.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle to customer sites and deliver documents and packages under deadlines.
• Pick up, handle and deliver time-sensitive documents and packages safely and punctually.
• Ensure all delivery material is delivered to the correct consignee.
• Operate a scanner to record shipping and package information.
• Maintain good work habits and adhere to safety procedures.
• Report any suspected security breaches to supervisor immediately.
• Assist supervisor in orienting, training and checking the work of lower level courier.
• Assist supervisor in performing check rides to review performance and routes.
