Job summary
Peraton is seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Administrator to support our mission-driven Cyber platform team in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will help sustain a cloud-based platform built with Java and open-source technologies including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo, enabling data-intensive analytics on managed infrastructure.
In this on-call role, you will provide Tier 1–3 operational support, maintain day-to-day platform stability, troubleshoot Linux-based systems, and collaborate with
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical discipline with practical software development/engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of cloud-based analytic platforms
- Provide Tier 1-3 support for infrastructure and system-level issues
- Troubleshoot operational issues within Linux environments
- Manage RedHat/CentOS provisioning using kickstart
- Perform Linux/Unix networking analysis using tools such as nmap and tcpdump
- Support DNS administration including hosts files and DHCP
- Assist with containerized and distributed platform technologies
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve system performance issues
- Support on-call operational requirements
