Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing seeks qualified applicants for the Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver) role. You will deliver and return Penske vehicles, moving box trucks up to 26’ and, for CDL A, tractors/trailers. Location: Indianapolis, IN area with flexible 0–25 hour weekly work.

Candidates should have at least 2 years driving experience and a clean DMV record. CDL B is required; CDL A preferred. Role involves DOT compliance, safety checks, and potential drive to customer sites.

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience.
• 2 years of a clean DMV motor vehicle record.
• Valid Class B CDL required; domicile in the U.S. and licensed in home state.
• CDL Class A license preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work independently with customer service orientation.
• English language proficiency required by DOT.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel and undergo background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures when driving to Penske locations or customer sites.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and report any problems.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for deliveries and collect payment when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations.
• Assist service department with parts and equipment delivery as needed.
