HomeWell Care Services, Inc. is seeking experienced, reliable on-call caregivers in the Columbus area to join our on-call team. Earn a flat $75 on-call day plus your hourly wage for shifts. Availability from 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM on scheduled days is required.

Caregivers provide companionship, help with activities of daily living, and support clients in maintaining independence, safety, and dignity across Franklin and Delaware Counties.

Qualifications

• On-call caregivers needed for Franklin and Delaware Counties.
• Experience and reliability in home care required.
• Ability to assist with transfers and ADLs in clients' homes.
• Comfort with animals and home environments is preferred.
• Must be able to travel to multiple client homes.

Responsabilités

HomeWell Care Services is looking for experienced, dependable, and highly skilled caregivers in the Columbus and surrounding areas to join our on-call caregiver team!

This is a great opportunity for experienced caregivers who want to supplement their income while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

How Does It Work?

• Earn $75 for each day you're scheduled to be on-call, whether you're called in to work or not!
• If you're needed for a client shift, you'll receive your $75 on-call pay PLUS your applicable hourly rate for all hours worked.
• On-call availability is required from 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM on your scheduled day.
• Enjoy the opportunity to earn extra income while helping clients receive the care they need!

Who We're Looking For

Because our on-call caregivers help cover a wide variety of client needs, we're seeking individuals who are experienced, flexible, reliable, and confident in their caregiving abilities.

Qualified candidates must:

• Be willing and able to travel to client homes throughout Franklin and Delaware Counties.
• Be comfortable working in homes with cats, dogs, and/or smokers.
• Have the experience and skills necessary to provide care for clients with varying levels of needs, including those requiring Hoyer lift transfers.
• Be comfortable assisting with all aspects of personal care and activities of daily living.
• Be dependable, adaptable, and ready to step in when care is needed.
• Be available throughout the designated on-call period.

This opportunity is best suited for experienced caregivers who can confidently adapt to different clients, environments, and care needs.

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on the client's needs, responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Helping with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
• Preparing meals and performing light housekeeping
• Providing medication reminders
• Assisting with transportation to appointments and errands
• Supporting clients in maintaining their independence, dignity, and quality of life

Compensation & Benefits

On-Call Pay: $75 per scheduled on-call day PLUS hourly wages for any shifts worked!

• $17.00/hour starting pay for caregivers with 2+ years of experience
• $18.00/hour starting pay for STNAs
• $22.00–$31.25/hour for qualifying short shifts (1–3 hours)
• Double-time holiday pay
• Mileage reimbursement if transportation is needed in your vehicle

Requirements

• At least 6 months of verifiable experience as a caregiver
• Must have reliable transportation with proof of a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be proactive and able to work independently
• Pass a criminal background check
• Compassion, maturity and empathy
• Pride in punctuality and reliability
• Must be able to bend and lift with ease
• Ability to work with pets is a plus!
