Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Clifton Secaucus is hiring Personal Care Aides and Home Health Aides to support clients at home in Newark, Clifton and surrounding Hudson County communities. Positions offer flexible, on-call hours and an ASAP start.

As a caregiver, you will provide companionship, assist with ADLs, light housekeeping, meal prep, medication reminders, and transportation support as needed. We value reliability and compassionate care in a safe home environment.

Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR certified, or willing to obtain certification.
• Ability to build warm, professional, and compassionate relationships.
• Hands-on experience providing personal care in a home or community-based setting.
• Confidence assisting with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Experience supporting seniors or individuals with memory-related conditions is a plus.
• Flexibility to support a range of care needs, including short-term, long-term, and last-minute assignments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow care plans and respect family preferences.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a strong sense of accountability for scheduled shifts.
• A genuine passion for providing companionship and emotional support.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful environment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Providing meaningful companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment through light housekeeping.
• Assisting with meal preparation in line with client preferences and dietary needs.
• Offering timely medication reminders in accordance with care plans.
• Supporting with laundry, ironing, and general home organization.
• Assisting with errands such as grocery shopping and accompanying clients to appointments when needed.
• Performing other related duties as needed to support client care and well-being.
