Job summary

Portage Lakes Career Center in Uniontown, Ohio, is seeking substitute Career Technical Instructors for the 2026-2027 school year. Positions are on-call and part-time.

Teach in HVAC, Welding, Construction, Electrical Tech, Pre-Nursing, Auto Tech, Culinary Arts, and Cosmetology. Five years of field experience or a valid Substitute CTE license required; background checks and STRS enrollment available.

Qualifications

• Five years of full-time work experience in the field (employment verification required) in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Substitute Career Technical Instructor license; fee of $25 to the Ohio Department of Education, Renhill can assist.

Responsibilities

• Teach in HVAC, Welding, Construction, Electrical Tech, Pre-Nursing, Auto Tech, Culinary Arts, Cosmetology.
• Work on a on-call, as-needed basis for the 2026-2027 school year.
• Maintain required background checks and licensure as applicable.
