Job summary

PERG online is seeking a bartender to deliver efficient, friendly service in a fast-paced bar environment in Charlotte. You will greet guests, know the offerings, manage orders and payments in Micros, and maintain bar cleanliness with a strong emphasis on upselling and responsible alcohol service.

The role requires at least 1 year of bartending experience in a high-volume casual setting, strong communication, and knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bartending experience in a high-volume casual environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Wine, beer and spirits knowledge.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC – or obtain upon hire.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and anticipate their needs.
• Know all food and beverage offerings.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and sanitation.
• Provide silverware and condiments with food at bar.
• Reset bar area after guests depart or drinks prepared.
• Set up and breakdown the bar.
• Follow proper glassware and sink procedures.
• Communicate professionally with management and staff.
• Contribute to a productive team environment.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol per legal requirements.
• Take orders and record transactions in Micros system.
• Manage guest tabs and payments promptly.
• Monitor bar pars and stock levels.
• Sell and upsell products.
• Work in a fast-paced team environment.
