Job summary

SFMOMA is seeking an AV Technician I (On-Call) to support Wattis Theater, White Box, Koret Education Center, and related spaces. You will handle setup, operation, and maintenance of AV systems for events, screenings, and gallery programming.

Responsibilities include coordinating with staff and contractors, ensuring policy compliance, and providing end-user training. Open to irregular hours for museum events.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and troubleshooting media systems and AV/production equipment.
• Ability to work with in-house, freelance, and contractor technicians.
• Knowledge of digital mixers and videography; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for event, performance, and presentation spaces and equipment.
• Set up and tear down AV furniture and equipment for events and productions.
• Operate and maintain AV equipment and provide end-user training as needed.
• Monitor setup/load-out and ensure policy compliance.
• Prepare media and test compatibility with museum systems.
• Repair or replace equipment as needed.
