The Town is seeking a dependable and flexible individual to serve as an On-Call Animal Control Officer. This position will provide coverage and respond to animal-related emergencies during evenings, weekends, holidays, and periods when the primary Animal Control Officer is on vacation or otherwise out of the office. The position requires a willingness to work irregular hours and respond to on-call situations as needed.
Responsibilities include enforcing applicable local and state animal control laws and regulations, responding to animal-related emergencies, and supporting the Animal Control Officer with various animal control activities.
The position requires the ability to perform physical activities including stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, and repetitive motions. This is a heavy work position requiring the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The employee may be exposed to fumes, odors, dust, varying temperatures, chemicals, and zoonotic diseases.
$56.52 per assignment, with annual increases. This is a non-benefitted position.
