Job summary

WINK News in Southwest Florida is seeking a Meteorologist who delivers accurate forecasts with a personable, engaging on-air presence. Present weathercasts on TV and radio and produce forecasts for digital and social platforms.

You will provide live coverage during severe weather events and participate in community outreach. The role requires 2–3 years of professional broadcast meteorology experience and tropical weather familiarity; training provided.

Qualifications

• AMS member; CBM or CBM-eligible preferred.
• Strong on-air communication and storytelling skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Tropical weather experience is a plus (training provided).
• Refined interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• 2-3 years of professional broadcast meteorology experience preferred.
• Proven ability to cover severe weather and breaking weather events on-air.
• Experience with tropical forecasting preferred.
