Responsibilities

• Deliver newscasts and announce radio playlists; provide weather/traffic; sport scores and game info
• Comment on topics and interview musical personalities or listeners
• Specialize in one music type (e.g., Spanish Contemporary & Tropical Hits)
• Write, review and edit news copy and promos
• Participate in promotional events and potential ad sales
• Operate studio control board and remote programming when needed
• Ensure program timing and monitor quality of on-air content
• Protect station licenses by censoring inappropriate live content
• Handle time-out programming and notify engineering of issues
