Bonneville International's KSL NewsRadio, KSL.com and KSL-TV are Utah's leading local news sources, delivering trusted journalism across platforms. This on-site role at Salt Lake City involves producing informative news show content for KSL NewsRadio, with collaboration with a show producer and live or pre-recorded formats.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a newsroom, strong news judgment and on-air hosting experience.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years experience working in a newsroom environment.
Minimum of 2 years on-air show experience preferred.
News judgement and strong writing ability.
Passion for news and current affairs.
Experience in radio news hosting.
Aggressive attitude with a drive to advance in broadcasting.

Responsibilities

Select and develop story ideas for on-air presentation.
Collaborate with a show producer to create performance ideas and audio opportunities.
Capture audience attention with a unique informed perspective.
Develop an on-air presence and professional demeanor.
Discuss current events in a conversational manner.
Demonstrate spontaneity and depth while maintaining good judgment.
Enunciate clearly, read copy fluently, and convey continuity.
Operate studio equipment and create a distinctive sound with a team.
Innovate show segments and develop creative ideas.
Accept direction and feedback for future programs.
Work under pressure to meet daily/weekly deadlines.
Engage with the community on video and social media.
Maintain accuracy and reliability in on-air product.
