Qualifications

• MD or DO licensed to practice in Maryland.
• Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN) OR completed an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency.
• 2+ years of clinical experience in an outpatient or community mental health setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of Medicaid compliance and EHR documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate virtually with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction and assume clinical responsibility for all outpatient mental health services.
• Complete initial psychiatric evaluations (telehealth acceptable) and prescribe care as needed.
• Periodically review treatment plans and assess ongoing medical necessity.
• Collaborate with therapists, CRNPs, and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Serve as the point of contact for audits, quality assurance, and compliance inquiries. Ensure alignment with COMAR, CARF, and federal Medicaid regulations.
• Participate in occasional staff training or case consultations.
