Job summary

The successful candidate will read specifications, ensure calibration of inspection equipment, and support traceability and corrective actions within a collaborative PPS

Qualifications

• Audit and monitor quality requirements per specs.
• Perform various tests and quality checks on finished products.
• Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Material Rejection Notices) as required.
• Input and perform trending of key inspection process metrics.
• Document and report inspection findings and results and monitor corrective actions.
• Read and interpret specifications and part prints; ensure calibration of inspection equipment.
• Maintain product identification and traceability as required.
• Support PPS team efforts and adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles, parts and assemblies for surface finish, color, texture, and defects.
• Audit and monitor quality requirements per specifications.
• Conduct tests and quality checks on finished products to ensure standards.
• Document findings and report results; track corrective actions.
• Maintain calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
• Read and interpret specifications and prints; ensure proper identification and traceability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and safety programs.
• Perform other duties as required by the QA team.

The primary industry served by these iconic Morgan Olson Walk-in vans is parcel package pick up & delivery because most everything ordered on-line is delivered by a Morgan Olson Walk-In Stepvan. Other key industries served include Textile Rental and Laundry services, baking and snack foods, newspaper delivery, service & utility vehicles, and the ever growing mobile cuisine food trucks!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Morgan Olson is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician. This position examines vehicles, parts and assemblies for physical characteristics, such as surface finish, color, and texture, and for defects, such as cracks, scratches, and loose connections.

REQUIREMENTS

• Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with company/customer specifications.
• Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products. Insure that all products have been tested and fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances, readability of labels, etc.
• Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Material Rejection Notices) as required.
• Input and perform trending of key inspection process metrics.
• Document and report inspection findings and results and monitors corrective actions to inspection findings.
• Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements.
• Read and interpret specifications and part prints and ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.
• Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required.
• Supports and participates in Morgan Olson’s PPS team efforts.
• Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
• Other duties as required
