Job summary

Apple is seeking a creative, hands-on engineer to design, characterize and validate OLED display prototypes, focusing on the optoelectronic performance of the display pixels.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team and display vendors to design OLED display components, contributing to IP and next-generation display technology.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on lab experience, MATLAB/Python proficiency, and a track record in R&D environments, based in Cupertino, CA.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering or Materials Science Engineering plus 3 years of industry experience, or MS degree in relevant field.
• Experience in the design, fabrication, and characterization of optoelectronic materials and devices.
• Robust engineering skills including use of software such as Matlab, Python, JMP, Excel or similar software.
• Hands-on experience/capability to work with electronic/optical test equipment, R&D lab set-up, and customizing test approach/setup.

Responsibilities

• Designing, characterizing and validating the performance of display prototypes, focusing on optoelectronic function of display pixels.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional multi-disciplinary team and display vendors to design OLED display components.
• Exercise creativity and contribute to Apple’s intellectual property.
