Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; certification from trade or technical school.
• 2–3+ years of solid oil field equipment welding experience.
• Experience with Hot Wire Auto TIG (GTAW-P) and plasma/torch cutting.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints.
• Knowledge of SMAW, SAW, GTAW welding processes and shop safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to assemble equipment.
• Weld mast, derrick, and other support structures.
• Weld pipes, plates, and tanks to build storage structures.
• Inspect welds for strength and adherence to specs.
• Assemble and repair pipelines for oil and natural gas.
• Operate plasma cutters and arc welders; LDAR repair and compliance.
