Job summary

STI is seeking a Surveillance Technician / Monitor to support downhole tubular goods inspection. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to read and follow written procedures in an oilfield setting.

The position requires mechanical aptitude, physical stamina, and reliable transportation, with oilfield experience preferred but not required. Expect long hours, on-call shifts, and a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Technical background desirable.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Exceptional safety and quality awareness expected.
• Ability to work physically (standing, walking, lifting, carrying etc.).
• Oilfield experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Must have a minimum of 1-year oil & gas drilling mud motor experience (2+ years preferred).
• Ability to read, understand and execute written procedures.
• Mechanically inclined and able to operate with hand tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of NDT inspection processes preferred.
• On-call schedule, not a set schedule; must be flexible for long hours.
• Set up and utilize non-destructive test equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.
