Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Shop Technician in Lafayette, LA to support warehouse operations by assembling, testing, and maintaining oilfield components and piping. The role involves fitting, piping, mechanical assembly with hand and power tools, assisting with hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting, and participating in quality inspections to ensure safe, accurate orders.

Weekdays, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; pay rate $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years of shop, oilfield, or mechanical experience required.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean MVR required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with frac operations, pressure pumping, flowback crews, or well service operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, maintain, and test oilfield pipes, elbows, tees, valves, and fittings.
• Perform fitting, piping, and mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.
• Assist with hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting.
• Support pressure testing and quality inspections.
• Rig up and rig down equipment at frac locations.
• Identify worn, damaged, or leaking iron and connections.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
