Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a hands-on technician to set up, assemble, and run test programs for oilfield completion tools. You will maintain equipment, keep the lab clean, and support engineering teams to achieve testing goals.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in oilfield or lab environments, a high school diploma, and experience with material handling equipment and hand tools. This is a full-time on-site role in Houston.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of Oilfield or lab experience.
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklift, overhead hoist, and scissor lift.
• Experience using common hand tools (pipe wrench, adjustable wrench, screwdriver, measuring tape).
• Basic computer skills and ability to read simple instructions.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and read drawings/prints.

Responsibilities

• Set up, assemble, and run test programs for oilfield completion tools.
• Maintain testing equipment and keep lab/areas clean.
• Support engineering teams to meet testing goals.
• Know and follow Weatherford quality and safety policies.
• Move parts and equipment using hoists and forklifts; perform inventory.
• Operate test equipment such as pumps and flow systems as needed.
• Train/mentor less experienced employees.
