Job summary

ProPetro is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on electronic instrumentation used to monitor and control oilfield service equipment. You will use laptops and internal software to manage work orders and diagnostics, following manuals and schematics to troubleshoot issues.

The role requires basic knowledge of instrumentation, willingness to work alternating shifts, and a commitment to safety and on-call duties.

Qualifications

6 months' experience maintaining and repairing electronic instrumentation and automation equipment on well servicing equipment preferred.
Technical Associate degree preferred and may be considered in lieu of experience.
High School education or equivalent required.
Maintaining a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record, required.
Must have basic knowledge of electronic instrumentation and automation equipment used in hydraulic fracturing operations.
Must be able to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
Clear communication skills and ability to interact with team members and supervisors.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications and able to learn other work-related software.
Must be willing and able to make schedule adjustments and work alternate shifts as required.
Must be willing and able to be on call nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be safety conscious and willing to use stop work authority when necessary.
Must be physically able to safely operate light duty trucks and drive a company vehicle day or night, on all road types and weather conditions.
Must be able to perform duties in a 12+ hour shift including days or nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on electronic instrumentation used to monitor or control oilfield service equipment.
Use organization issued laptop or phone to navigate emails and internal software (SharePoint, Power Apps, work order system, diagnostic software).
Work from technical manuals and electrical schematics to diagnose and repair equipment failures.
Learn and practice radiation awareness.
Operate light duty trucks.
Be available for schedule adjustments and on-call duties as required.
Safely drive company vehicle day or night across varied terrains and weather conditions.
Perform general housekeeping and routine maintenance of the organization''s property.
Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies by attending trainings and safety meetings.
