The Zachry Group is seeking an Industrial Oiler to install, assemble, dismantle, and maintain machinery on an industrial project. You will work on engines, motors, pumps, and other equipment, performing checks and routine maintenance on job site gear.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and manuals, planning the scope of work, performing preventative maintenance, replacing gaskets, and installing components.

Competenze

• Experience reading blueprints, schematics and engineering specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals to determine work procedures.
• Proficient with industrial hand tools and power tools.
• 4–5 years of industrial mechanical experience.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days as needed.

• Works with high complexity equipment including cranes, bulldozers, forklifts, generators, ball mills, ID fans, lube coil skids, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears and bearings.
• Plans, inspects, verifies and documents scope of work.
• Performs preventative maintenance as per manufacturer specifications.
• Replaces gaskets and other defective parts on machinery.
• Dismantles machines/engines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and hand tools.
• Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails.
• Assembles machines and bolts, welds and secures machinery to foundations using hand and power tools.
• Operates engine lathes, grinders and files.
• Fabricates and installs parts by measuring, cutting, drilling and welding.
• Turns machine parts to dimensional specifications.
• Unloads, inspects, moves and positions equipment using cranes and dollies.
• Uses rigging devices to move equipment/materials into place.
• Conducts preventative maintenance including lubrication and repair of worn parts.
• Follows supervisor directions.

Position Responsibilities

• Works with industry-specific and high complex equipment including but not limited to cranes, bulldozers, forklifts, generators, ball mills, ID fans, lube coil skids, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, bearings, compressors, etc.
• Will plan, inspect, verify and document scope of work
• Will perform preventative maintenance as required by manufacture specifications.
• Will replace gaskets and other defective parts on machinery.
• Will dismantle machines/engines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools
• Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails
• Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets and fastens machinery to foundations or other structures using hand tools and power tools.
• Operates engine lathes, grinders, and files.
• Fabricates and installs parts, equipment and machinery by measuring, cutting, drilling and/or welding
• Turns machine parts to dimensional specifications
• Will unload, inspect, move and set equipment into position using cranes, hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks
• Uses rigging and hoisting devices such as chokers, chain falls and come along to move equipment / materials into place
• Conducts preventative maintenance such as lubrication and fixing or repairing worn parts.
• Follows direction from supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Zachry ROF’ed employee.
• Former Zachry Employee.
• Basic Computer efficiency
• Formal/technical education.

Reports to Position

This position does not have any direct reports.

Physical Requirements

• Employees will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.
• Will talk and hear to communicate.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls and tools.
• May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
• Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
