Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform and document inspections of Oil & Gas process equipment, including welding NDE and coatings verification. The role involves coordinating NDE with suppliers, tracing materials, and hosting customers and third-party inspectors on the shop floor.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years in QC or welding inspection, plus relevant certifications. Occasional overtime is required to meet production schedules. Base location is Channelview, Texas.

Qualifications

• This position requires 3–5 years of experience in QC inspection roles.
• Experience with welding NDE, material inspection, and fabrication environments.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and industry codes (ASME, AWS, API).

Responsibilities

• Perform and document quality inspections of gas turbine process equipment.
• Coordinate welding NDE activities and material traceability with suppliers.
• Host customers and inspectors for in-process inspections.
• Prepare final inspection reports and testing packages.
