Job summary

Danos seeks a Plant Board Operator to manage the flow of oil, natural gas, and related materials through pipelines, ensuring safe and efficient operations at our Mobile, AL facility.

You will monitor pumps, operate plant equipment, perform inspections, and uphold Process Safety Management standards, with responsibilities including responding to alarms and managing maintenance tasks. Must have 4+ years' experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• 4+ years of board operator experience required.
• Must live within one hour of Mobile, AL location.
• Technical certification or equivalent training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• Knowledge of operation and control of processing plants.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, indoors and outdoors.
• Able to respond to alarms and signals and perform visual inspections.
• Capable of working in confined spaces and being on-call.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pump instruments and regulate flow, conducting routine inspections and maintenance of pipelines and related systems.
• Supervise storage tanks and collaborate with pipeline technicians to ensure smooth operations.
• Operate pipeline equipment, including steam compressors, dehydrators, fluid separation equipment, valves, and gas measurement equipment.
• Manage the start-up and shutdown of plant equipment, visually inspecting equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or needed repairs.
• Monitor plant operations and respond promptly to emergency or upset conditions.
• Operate under Process Safety Management (PSM) as required, ensuring regulatory compliance and record-keeping.
• Read, monitor, and record operating conditions such as pressure, temperature, fuel consumption, and water levels.
• Replace filters, oil, chemicals, and other lubricating fluids as needed, and supervise contract labor involved in plant maintenance activities.
