Job summary

PetroLedger is seeking an Oil & Gas Federal Regulatory Reporting Accountant to manage ONRR reporting and regulatory compliance from Houston. You will compile, report, and audit ONRR-2014 royalty data and OGORs while coordinating with Accounting, Legal, Land, and Operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years in regulatory compliance, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in regulatory software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of regulatory compliance experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of ONRR regulations and reporting requirements (ONRR-2014 royalties, OGORs).
• Experience with regulatory compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely ONRR reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state oil and gas regulations.
• Monitor ONRR regulation changes and assess impacts.
• Maintain detailed records of regulatory filings and communications.
• Provide support to staff on regulatory compliance matters.
• Conduct internal audits of regulatory submissions and respond to ONRR/BLM requests.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, Land, and Operations to obtain reporting data.
