Job summary

Permian Resources is seeking a JIB Accountant in Midland, Texas. The role reports to the JIB Supervisor and focuses on recording non-operated JIBs and preparing monthly billing entries, with strong Excel and industry knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have accounting skills, an understanding of oil and gas operations, and the ability to work in Midland, TX. Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in oil and gas accounting are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of oil & gas operational accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions) and Word.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process non-operated JIBs with accurate coding per JOAs or COPAS.
• Prepare standard monthly JIB entries including reclass journal entries and overhead.
• Set up cost centers and AFEs; track and apply revenue netting to JIB-AR balances.
• Pull audit support and respond to working interest owner questions in a timely manner.
• Prepare monthly JIB account reconciliations by due date; participate in special projects.
