Job summary

American Oil & Gas Reporter is seeking an Association Editor to work from the Wichita office, producing in-depth articles on legislative and regulatory topics. You will interview industry leaders, write feature content, and edit copy to AP standards for each monthly issue.

Responsibilities include coordinating with executive directors, managing the Industry Calendar, and attending conferences for coverage and photography. A flexible salary range and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in interviewing sources for features and news briefs.
• Strong editing and proofreading skills to AP style.
• Ability to write and communicate complex policy and business topics clearly.

Responsibilities

• Write content about legislative, regulatory, and business news for each issue.
• Conduct phone/Teams interviews from Wichita office.
• Edit and proof content to AP style and format.
• Maintain contact with industry leaders and associations.
