Job summary

Arepet Express, LLC in Von Ormy, TX is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher for our 24/7 sand transport service. The dispatcher serves as the primary communications link for drivers, receiving requests, transmitting messages and tracking trucks.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can multitask with little supervision, make sound decisions under time pressure and keep accurate logs. Weekend and day shifts are required; bilingual Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
• Strong time management and organization with multi-tasking.
• Self-motivated with high attention to detail and accountability.
• Basic clerical procedures and record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently.
• Oil field experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Knowledge of McLeod software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and deploy staff and vehicles based on orders.
• Schedule loads maximizing driver hours and miles.
• Prioritize orders based on urgency and importance.
• Anticipate changes and reallocate resources efficiently.
• Manage and adjust forecasted loads per customer needs.
• Make timely, accountable decisions under time constraints.
• Gather information with active listening and escalate as needed.
• Maintain driver logs, tickets, and other documents.
• Monitor routes and status of field units to coordinate schedules.
• Provide drivers with order details, traffic, and requirements.
• Enter data into the computer system and maintain logs.
