Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring for an on-site automotive technician role in Frederick, MD. You will perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on a fleet of box trucks and cargo vans, including oil and fluid services and tire work, with opportunities to learn and advance toward ASE certification.

Eligible candidates should have a valid driver's license, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License (Class A, B, or C).
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or prior auto maintenance experience.
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and stay on-site.
• DOT medical clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repair on a fleet of box trucks and cargo vans.
• Assist more experienced technicians with repairs and diagnostics as skills develop.
• May drive Budget Truck on public roads for testing or operational needs.

This includes oil and fluid services, tire repairs and rotations, and completing all tasks in a safe and quality-focused manner.Depending on your experience, you may assist more experienced technicians with additional repairs and diagnostics as your skills develop.
