Job summary

SP+ is hiring Attendant/Drivers for the Marquam Hill campus in Portland, OR. Shifts include 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, or 1:30 PM–10:00 PM. Pay is $18.00/hour plus tips where applicable.

Responsibilities include guiding customers, counting vehicles, and maintaining garage safety and flow. Requirements include prior customer service experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a manual transmission.

Qualifications

• Previous parking experience highly desired.

• Must be alert and able to handle multiple parkers simultaneously.
• Clean driving record to pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers who forgot where they parked and ensure punctual attendance.
• Maintain familiarity with garage areas and report hazards to the Facility Manager.

Responsibilities

Our OHSU client is seeking new Attendant/Drivers for our Marquam Hill campus.

• Shifts:
  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Monday - Friday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $18.00/hour plus tips as applicable

The successful candidates will meet the following qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience required
• Previous parking experience highly desired
• Driving required; Ability to drive manual transmission a plus
• MUST be alert and able to handle multiple parkers simultaneously
• Clean driving record to pass MVR check necessary

NOTE: This position does receive tips as applicable only when working as valet.

What you’ll do

• Deliver on Our Promise by ensuring every moment matters for our clients by providing assistance when needed and communicating proactively.
• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces for a seamless parking experience.
• Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed.
• Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies; patrol transient and reserved parking levels as needed.
• Provide assistance to customers that have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
• Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
• Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills and etc. to garage office.
• Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized.
• Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the garage to assist customers in a seamless transportation experience.
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

What you need

• A valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
• The ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift) is a plus.
• Availability to work special shifts if needed (2nd, 3rd shift and/or weekends).
• Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S. (must provide valid documentation if hired).
• The ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• The ability to read, write, add, and subtract US currency and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• The ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.

Salary Range: $18.00 per hour

This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
