  • Review and research compliance requests from firm attorneys and business professionals.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of databases.
  • Research public records using public websites.
  • Perform database research and data entry.
  • Compile and organize information from various internal firm sources to support OGC projects.
  • Assist with preparing a variety of documents, forms, charts, letters, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Compliance Coordinator, working in collaboration with and in support of the firm's strategic initiatives, supports the firm's Office of General Counsel ("OGC") by providing administrative coordination for several areas of firm compliance operations and risk management initiatives, including due diligence activities.

Location

This position can sit in our Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Miami, Northern Virginia, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Short Hills, Washington, DC, or Wilmington office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in organization and first level review of background checks for potential timekeeper candidates.

Desired Skills
  • Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and database experience. Office experience in a law firm or other legal environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with paralegals, attorneys and internal clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail necessary to manage high volume of complex data.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
  • The work of the OGC is highly confidential in nature and the candidate for this position must be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion with regard to the work being managed, as well as an acute awareness of how information is shared with others.
Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree.

Minimum Years of Experience

2 years demonstrated success working in a fast-paced legal environment.

Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Environment

The individual selected for this position may have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement comprised of remote and in-office work, the requirement for which will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may be modified in the firm's discretion in the future.
