cities. Responsibilities include administering conflicts reviews, coordinating with staff in different jurisdictions, and preparing concise summaries while protecting highly sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; 4+ years in a similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer conflicts review for lateral attorney candidates and assist with questionnaire completion.
• Coordinate with attorneys and Conflicts staff across jurisdictions to evaluate conflicts checks.
• Analyze reports and identify matters needing further review or Ethics Committee action.
• Prepare summaries of conflicts analyses and communicate resolutions to sponsoring attorneys and recruiting teams.
• Ensure efficient triage of work under OGC leadership guidance and protect confidential information.

About the Role

The OGC Analyst – Conflicts, Lateralsis an integral part of Latham’s Office of the General Counsel (OGC) team.This role will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and acting upon conflicts reports regarding incoming lateral candidates to the firm, including partners, counsel, associates, trainees, staff, and potentially portable new client business, while validating that the requirements for the conflicts check are accurate according to the information provided by the lateral candidate through the conflicts questionnaire. This role will be located in either our Boston, New York, Houston, Los Angeles, or Washington, D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Administering the conflicts review for all lateral attorney candidates, which includes assisting the candidate with completion of the conflicts questionnaire
• Obtaining the necessary guidance from attorneys or other Conflicts staff who understand the requirements in different geographical jurisdictions to properly evaluate the lateral conflicts check
• Analyzing conflicts reports to determine those matters that require additional review, communicating follow-up questions to attorneys, or suggesting Ethics Committee action
• Preparing a summary of information from the conflicts report analysis and follow-up responses, and reporting conflicts resolution of issues to the sponsoring attorneys and the recruiting departments
• Working with OGC leadership to ensure work is addressed in the most efficient order and follows guidance from supervisors and managers with respect to the triage of work
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

• Display well-developed, professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively interface with attorneys, management, support staff, and outside contacts
• Possess the organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, handle multiple deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously

And have:

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent, a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a law firm or other professional services firm
• Experience with Intapp Open software, preferably
