Job summary

Oxy is seeking an Operations Engineer to provide on-platform engineering support for offshore production facilities. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operation and cost optimization, interfacing with Field Operations and various engineering teams.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering and at least 5 years in oil and gas, with offshore Gulf of America experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of oil and gas industry experience, offshore Gulf of America preferred.
• Familiar with P&IDs, PFDs and equipment data sheets; strong process knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee offshore production and safety systems in line with policy and regulations.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions to maintain uptime and efficiency.
• Provide engineering support for maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of processes and controls.
• Support upgrades, modifications, and commissioning activities for offshore assets.
• Interface with platform operations and shore-based engineering teams.
