Job summary

CORE Group is seeking an experienced Offshore Mechanic to join a deepwater drilling unit in the Gulf for a temporary hitch. You will support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems throughout the rig.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting pumps and hydraulic systems, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and maintenance planning. Offshore safety credentials and rig experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Offshore mechanical experience is required.
• Drilling rig experience is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is expected.
• Current offshore safety credentials (BOSIET/FOET/THUET) and RigPass/SafeGulf as applicable.
• TWIC and valid ID/passport are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery on the rig.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, valves, piping and related gear.
• Support maintenance and repairs of drilling-related and auxiliary machinery.
• Inspect equipment and identify mechanical issues before operations are affected.
• Maintain maintenance records and communicate issues to supervision.
