Qualifications

• Requires knowledge and experience of small offset printing procedures, materials, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Skill to read and understand job specifications used for press set-up materials.
• Sufficient knowledge of press capabilities required for efficient operation.
• Understanding of packing pressure for proper printing pressure.
• Skill in using a micrometer for mounting and aligning the printing plate.
• Ability to perform routine operational maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ability to make adjustments to feeder and feed board.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color offset press.
• Perform make-ready tasks like hanging plates and positioning images.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments prior to production runs.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs as needed.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
