Position Duties

The Compliance Division is seeking an Office Supervisor to oversee clerical operations within the Individual Tax Audit section. This role provides support for both management and audit staff as well as supervising two (2) Office Services Clerks. Duties include but are not limited to preparing and formatting memos, reports, form letters, and templates; reviewing outgoing correspondence for accuracy and completeness; answering and directing incoming calls; managing office supply inventory, including ordering and distribution; retrieving, opening, and reviewing incoming mail, maintaining a correspondence log, and obtaining the daily adjustment review report for distribution to the appropriate supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • Experience: Four years of experience performing clerical duties.
  • Additional experience performing clerical duties may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
  • Applicants may substitute education from an accredited college or university at the rate of thirty semester credit hours for one year of experience on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
  • Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military serviceexperience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical or Office Services specialty codes in the Administrative Support field of work on a year-for year basis for the required experience.
  • For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a detailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalency evaluating members identified at http://www.naces.org/members.html.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
