Job summary

Qualifications

  • 10 years of related experience with a degree or 14 years of related experience without a degree
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Eng & Mgmt, Materials Science, Geology, or related field preferred
  • MS in Engineering or MBA preferred
  • Maintain licenses and/or certifications per ECS policies
  • Valid driver's license required if driving for ECS
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to balance technical excellence with leadership and business objectives

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Branch Manager in leading branch-wide operations across multiple departments, groups, and satellite offices
  • Provides direct supervision, coaching, mentoring, guidance, and accountability for Department and Group Managers
  • Leads performance management processes including evaluations, coaching, promotions, and succession planning
  • Leads recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention efforts for the office
  • Builds and leads an effective organizational structure aligned with workload and growth
  • Communicates branch initiatives to staff and supports local implementation
  • Oversees branch-wide operational consistency and adherence to procedures and risk management
  • Ensures quality control, safety practices, and standard-of-care across the branch
  • Supports financial oversight including revenue, profitability, and KPIs
  • Monitors budgets, revenue targets, and business plans
  • Develops client relationships and leads business development efforts
  • Represents the firm in professional organizations and client meetings
  • Drives safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leads coordination with other branches and support teams
