Job summary

Tyson & Mendes, a nationally recognized litigation firm, seeks an experienced Office Manager to oversee daily operations in the Seattle office. You will lead administrative staff, streamline workflows, and ensure a professional, efficient workplace for a team of accomplished litigators.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of leadership or HR experience in a law firm, with strong MS Office and Adobe Acrobat skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in management/leadership or HR.
  • Prior law firm experience as a legal assistant or paralegal.
  • Ability to work in Seattle office 5 days a week.
  • Reliability and discretion while handling confidential matters.
  • High proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and deadline-driven skills.

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to Administrative & Legal Services Director and the Seattle Managing Partner.
  • Oversees support staff located in the Seattle office, including productivity management.
  • Assists with implementing new policies and procedures in the Seattle office.
  • Assists with the hiring process for support staff for the Seattle office.
  • Assists with the onboarding process for all new hires in the Seattle office.
  • Assists with training support staff as needed for the Seattle office.
  • Attends meetings regularly with Administrative & Legal Services Director and Seattle Partners.
  • Assists with facility management for the Seattle office, including office moves as necessary.
  • Assists with management of expense reconciliation for the Seattle office.
  • Plans and coordinates quarterly events for the Seattle office alongside the Administrative & Legal Services Director and Seattle Managing Partner.
  • Handles HR issues with HR Director and Seattle Partners and Team Leaders.
  • Administrative assignments from Administrative & Legal Services Director and Seattle Partners.

Your Impact

As Office Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supervising administrative support staff, and maintaining an organized and professional workplace. Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous management/leadership/human resources experience
  • Prior law firm experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
  • Able to work in the Seattle office 5 days a week
  • Reliability and discretion while handling confidential matters
  • High proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision
  • Articulate, organized and a team player with excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Compensation Package
  • The base salary for this position ranges from $85,000 - 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Comprehensive benefits coverage offered, including plans available at zero employee cost (average annual employee contribution for health/vision/dental coverage is $700-1,700)
