CHKD in Elizabeth City, NC seeks an Office LPN to perform a wide range of patient care activities and supportive services under department leadership. This role emphasizes high-quality nursing practice and patient education.

The position requires a current LPN license (compact state allowed), pediatric experience preferred, CPR within 45 days, and proof of diploma or transcript. FBI fingerprinting and background checks are required.

Overview

The Office LPN performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services to support the medical practice. Reports to department leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates excellence in nursing practice characterized by quality patient care and participation in formal and informal patient and staff education.
• Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

• Current State license as a Practical Nurse (LPN) or Practical Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
