Baltimore County Government is seeking staff to perform essential clerical work in support of a County program related to elections. The role involves processing voter registrations, coordinating with election judges, and assisting with training and scheduling.
Responsibilities include handling filing, data entry, and routine inquiries from the public, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations, and supporting election operations during election years.
Regular Schedule: 34 hours per week during non-election years, 40+ hours per week during election years
A Non-Merit vacancy exists in the Board of Elections.
Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan.
A list of eligible applicants will be established based on the examination as outlined below.
Current and future vacancies occurring in any Office or Department of Baltimore County General Government may be filled from the list of eligible applicants.
Under general supervision, performs comprehensive clerical work in support of a County program or agency.

Possession of a high school diploma or an appropriate high school equivalency
plus
one year's general clerical experience.

Experience working in an elections office.

Must be available to work 40 hours/week with some mandatory overtime on evenings and weekends during the Election year.
The work of this position involves special physical demands such as lifting 50 pounds or more, climbing ladders, etc.
