Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Columbus, Ohio seeks a full-time Therapist to join the Office Based Team and deliver individual, group, and family counseling to youth, families and foster caregivers to promote safety and community living.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work, licensure, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for non-traditional hours. NYAP offers generous time off, healthcare, 401K, student loan repayment and supervision hours.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of work experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
• A valid advanced professional license as required and acceptable by state or contract regulations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, transportation, and other professional services, meeting or exceeding established outcomes thresholds.
• Completes all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family in the community, including mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
• Reviews and modifies plans to ensure progress on written plan goals.
• Establishes relationships with foster parents and families.
• Supports family reunification/stabilization per the plan.
• Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required.
• Participates in CQI activities and weekly supervision.
